스테이블 디퓨전은 독일의 뮌헨 대학교 Machine Vision & Learning Group의 고해상도 이미지 합성 연구를 기반으로 Stability AI 사와 Runway ML 사 등의 지원을 받아 개발된 인공지능 모델입니다.
고맙게도 전세계 유저들에게 오픈 소스로 공개해서 일반인들도 설치만 하면 자유롭게 사용을 할 수 있게 되었습니다.
특히 영어로 AI가 잘 이해하도록 이미지 대한 설명(프롬프트, Promprt)만 입력하면 원하는 이미지를 근사하게 얻을 수 있습니다.
또한 네거티브(Negative) 프롬프트도 정의할 수 있는데 말 그대로 생성할 이미지에 나타나지 않아야 할 사항들을 AI가 이해할 수 있도록 영어로 정리한 설명입니다.
그 외에도 이미지 생성의 주모델인 체크포인트, 몇 단계로 이미지를 생성할 것인지 또 얼마나 프롬프트를 따를 것인지 등 다양한 변수들도 설정해야 합니다.
